About Carol Friedman
Carol Friedmans portraits of arts and entertainment figures have been published in books and magazines worldwide, and her classic images of recording artists have appeared on hundreds of jazz, soul, and classical CD covers. She is the recipient of many photography and design awards from the Art Directors Club, AIGA, CEBA, Creativity, and Print for her work in the music industry. Friedmans acclaimed publication of jazz portraits, The Jazz Pictures (Arena, 1999), will be re-released in a special edition in 2005. Nicky the Jazz Cat is her first book for children. Friedman lives and works in New York as a photographer and creative director.
