Charlie Todd, Improv Everywhere's creator and mastermind, tells the hilarious tales behind the infamous pranks that launched the group from an Internet sensation to a global phenomenon, and provides readers with the tools to create their own mirthful mayhem through joyful pranking.
From their legendary fake U2 rooftop concert to "freezing" Grand Central Station, Improv Everywhere has achieved cult status for their hilarious "missions" involving thousands of "agents" performing ingenious, good-hearted charades for unwitting souls around the world.
Causing a Scene features the funny pranks that made the group mainstream media darlings and offers inside tips and advice to help wannabe pranksters attempt larger-than-life creative endeavors of their own. Charlie Todd will share the stories behind the group's mischievous missionssuch as their annual "No Pants" subway ride and their synchronized swimming show in a public fountainand encourage the audience to get in on the fun and add more joy and laughter to the world.
About the contributors:
Charlie Todd created Improv Everywhere in 2001. He is a performer and teacher at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, and lives in New York City.
Alex Scordelis is an Improv Everywhere agent and writer for mental_floss magazine living in New York City.
