It’s not surprising that graffiti and street-art publication, Graphotism, began its review of Vandal Squad: Inside the New York City Transit Police Department, 1984-2004 with “this book is so totally wrong”. The publication by Joseph Riviera is a tell-all of his time on New York City’s Vandal squad, a division of the Transit Police that puts its energies into busting graffiti artists.
