For their Lens section, The New York Times chats with Gail Albert Halaban about her new monograph Out My Window. The interview reveals both Halaban’s impetus for the project, and her method of scouting and preparing shoots. She explains, “I really wanted to see the whole city, and the only way to do that was from other people’s apartments.”
