In 2007, author and street photographer John Maloof discovered the first of many photographic negatives, taken by then-unknown Vivian Maier. The photos, shot around the world from the 1950s up until the 1990s, became an overnight sensation and brought Maier’s name into the spotlight. Finding Vivian Maier attempts to shed light on the life of this mysterious woman, who died in 2009 at the age of 83. A portion of Maier’s previously unpublished work can be found in Vivian Maier: Street Photographer.
